2020 Summertime Badges

1. Outdoor Activity Award

With 40 of our scouts attending camp this summer, we will have almost everyone eligible for this award. (Going to camp is a mandatory requirement.)

Day Camp, Family Camp and Resident Camp all meet the requirement.

After that each rank must complete the outdoor skill themed adventure pin (they are generally all required for rank advancement, so this isn’t an extra burden)

Then complete the required “outdoor activities.” Tigers need 4 activities, Wolf 5, Bear 6, Webelo 7.

Webelo II scouts ARE ELIGIBLE, even if they earned the Outdoor Activity Award last year.

Refer your scouts to this link to review the items they can do to complete their requirements. When they have completed enough of the items to fulfill the requirements they should submit the google form.

2. National Summertime Pack Award

Recognition for this award can be conferred on individual scouts, as well as a Den or Pack.

The Pack is planning three summer events TBN.

Scouts that attend all 3 earn this Award Pin.

Dens that have 50% attendance earn a Den Ribbon.

3. World Conservation Award

WOLVES, BEARS & WEBELOS are eligible. Sorry Tigers.

This one requires some specific ELECTIVE adventures and they are suited to doing in the summer months.

Wolves: “Grow Something”

Bear: “A Bear Goes Fishing” or “Critter Care”

Webelos: “Into the Wild” “Into the Woods” both have requirements that can be done outdoors.

A Conservation Project is required but we will help you with that as we are planning a Monarch Conservation Project at the September 2019 Pack Meeting

4. Presidential Active Lifestyle Award

This just requires scouts to log 60 minutes of physical activity 5 days a week for 6 out of 8 weeks!

Things like recess, playing Nintendo Wii (Sports), gym class, soccer & baseball practice—even household chores—count! Give your kids incentive to get off the couch this summer!

Just fill out the below log form. Return it and we will get patches handed out. Also, Adults can qualify too!
